Eric Motl

Eric was born and raised in San Diego and grew up with his family playing country and bluegrass music with friends around town. As he got older, he began the “normal” tendency to branch off away from his family into other styles of music that he enjoyed. However, Eric always kept his country/bluegrass roots and these are the foundation and the basis for all his music to this day.

As with many artists, Eric gained much experience in music through his church experience growing up. Eric played (and has played) in church groups and bands of all kinds for most of his life. He has also played music for many weddings, funerals, and other personal events throughout the years. His country/bluegrass background has often come in handy when fitting the needs for these types of events.

For many years Eric didn’t play at public venues but has recently become open to sharing his full library of cover tunes with the public at all kinds of venues around town. If you like music from the 60’s and 70’s you’ll probably enjoy Eric’s acoustic renditions of these greatest hits from the most will known artists of these decades. Still, you will find Eric playing songs from other decades as well, spanning from the 1920’s all the way up to the 2000’s today!
